At Overtime K9, we bring together more than eight years of canine training experience and countless hours of education to create a program with a proven track record of success. Built on a foundation of positive reinforcement, our training methods establish control and obedience while building confidence, allowing your dog to become the loyal companion and family member you have always wanted.
Your dog’s safety and comfort are always our top priority. During their stay, every dog is cared for as if they were part of our own family, just like our Lab, Kona. Each day includes walks, supervised play in our secure fenced compound, and plenty of personal attention. When it is time to rest, dogs are housed in a fully air conditioned facility that is video and audio monitored for safety and well-being. Extra large kennels provide space to stretch out and relax, while comfortable place beds ensure proper airflow during hot South Florida days. Dogs also enjoy socialization with others at the facility, always have fresh water available, and are fed daily. Simply put, we care for your dog the way we care for our own.
For the safety of all pets, we require current vaccinations for Rabies, Distemper Parvo (DHPP or DA2PP), and Bordetella.
Our most popular programs are the two, four, and six week Board and Train options. During this immersive experience, your dog lives with us and receives one on one training directly from our Head Trainer. Because every dog learns differently, each program is tailored to your dog’s unique needs. The daily structure and consistent repetitions help solidify learning and build reliable obedience. Once a strong foundation is established, we layer in new skills and behaviors that will carry over seamlessly into your home.
At the end of the program, families receive a hands-on going home session. Our Head Trainer will guide you through everything your dog has learned, show you how to maintain their progress, and provide tips for introducing new behaviors in the future.
For owners who want a more direct role in the training process, we also offer private lessons. During these sessions, our Head Trainer works with both you and your dog to demonstrate how to teach and reinforce desired behaviors at home. Because timing and consistency are critical for success, our trainer will show you exactly how to apply these skills so you can confidently continue training on your own.
Once your dog has completed a Board and Train program, they are always welcome back for boarding. While boarding, dogs enjoy the same level of care they received during training, including daily walks, playtime in the fenced compound, socialization with other dogs, and comfortable resting areas throughout the day. Boarding at Overtime K9 ensures your dog remains safe, happy, and in a structured environment you can trust.
